Hello, We actually have TAC and opened a case and unless we can access the vshpere side of things they are saying its us and i dont know much about that. Phones went down a few hours ago. I tried swapping our firewall today but that was just cabling, not routing changes or anything. At some point it looks like the phone system went offline a few hours later. I can telnet to the router IP on the 2900 router. From there i can ping anywhere i want, internet or LAN. That session cant reach any IP configured for the esxi or web sites we use to manage it. I am thinking maybe that module is toast? It shows with show inventory. Strange coincidence about the firewall, but i had to back out and just put the cables back. No IP changes or vlans or nothing. ANy guidance would be helpful.

Multi-purpose Machine. I was thinking a triple boot (Linux, MS, Hackintosh) but another option would be a type1 hypervisor (Proxmox, ESXi, ...) or type2 hypervisor with Linux or Windows as a base OS. Windows for gaming and maybe to explore what Windows offers lately. Hackintosh for normal use and work. Linux for experiments and work.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)

Questions:

Does it make sense to go with Intel? I see a lot of enthusiasm for AMD but with the current prices it seems to me Intel is better and perhaps more appropriate for Hackintosh.
If Intel is OK, does this motherboard make sense or is it outdated already? Would this motherboard with with 10th gen Intel or later?
Would the Be Quiet cooling be adequate? More than adequate? What alternatives do I have? I also liked the "be quiet! Dark Rock Slim CPU Cooler" (the bigger ones might be too big?). Would that be enough? Bigger CPU cooler like the Dark Rock are just too big. BTW, CPU won't be overclocked, at least for now.
I haven't settled on SDDs yet, any recommendations?
